How to care for Turquoise
- Moonlight: In tradition, stones are left in moonlight overnight, especially around the full moon.
- Sound: In tradition, a bell or a singing bowl is rung near the stone.
- Use plain water only on Turquoise, never other cleaners; running-water cleansing is not suggested.
- Sunlight cleansing is not suggested for any stone: many fade, and a missing record does not mean a stone is sun-safe.
- Salt is not suggested: it can harm porous and soft stones.
Turquoise in tradition
In crystal tradition, Turquoise is associated with the throat chakra. This is a tradition, not a physical property, and Heptyx makes no health claims for any stone.
