Personal year, month and day numbers
Your personal day number comes from your birth date and today’s date, reduced to one digit from 1 to 9. For someone born on 15 May 1990, 14 October 2026 is personal year 3, personal month 4 and personal day 9. Numerology is a tradition, not science.
How the personal numbers are calculated
- Personal year: reduce your birth month, your birth day and the digits of the current year, add them, and reduce the total to one digit.
- Personal month: personal year plus the calendar month, reduced.
- Personal day: personal month plus the day of the month, reduced.

The life path reduces the birth month, day and year separately, keeping the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 (November counts as 11), then adds and reduces the total once more.

For name numbers, each letter has a value. Heptyx turns ı and İ into I and removes accents first, so Ş becomes S and Ü becomes U.

Questions
When does my personal year change?
Heptyx changes it on 1 January, the most common rule in the sources we use. Some practitioners change it on your birthday instead.
Are master numbers kept in personal days?
No. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept in the life path number, but personal year, month and day are always reduced to a single digit from 1 to 9.
Why does my life path differ on another site?
Some sites add all the digits of the birth date at once. Heptyx reduces the month, day and year separately and then adds them, which keeps master numbers that the one-step method can miss.
